When Heaven Touches Earth.
There are nights that mark eternity. October 8th, 2025, at the Fire House of Prayer in Nairobi was one such night, a powerful encounter where the presence of God moved tangibly, and heaven’s fire fell fresh upon hungry hearts.
The atmosphere was electric with expectation. As worship filled the sanctuary, something shifted in the spiritual realm. The fire of God’s presence wasn’t just a metaphor or a theological concept, it was evident, palpable, undeniable. In moments like these, we’re reminded why we gather, why we pray, and why we believe: because Jesus is alive, and He still transforms lives today.
A Soul Comes Home.
Among those gathered that evening was a woman named Zipporah. Perhaps she came searching, perhaps uncertain, perhaps simply following a divine whisper she couldn’t quite explain. Whatever brought her through those doors, it was clear that heaven had an appointment with her.
As the Holy Spirit moved through the congregation, Evangelist Steve, one of our own, faithful and obedient to the Lord’s leading, sensed the Lord’s prompting. With compassion and conviction, he approached Zipporah and shared the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. In that sacred moment, with angels rejoicing and the Father’s heart bursting with joy, Zipporah made the most important decision of her life.
She gave her life to Jesus.
Glory to Jesus!
There is no greater joy in heaven or on earth than when a lost soul comes home. Jesus Himself declared that there is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance (Luke 15:7). Last night, we witnessed that divine celebration.
Zipporah’s salvation is a testament to several powerful truths:
The Gospel Still Has Power – In an age of skepticism and distraction, the message of Jesus Christ remains the power of God unto salvation. It hasn’t lost its potency, its relevance, or its ability to transform hearts.
God Uses His People – Evangelist Steve’s willingness to be used by God reminds us that soul-winning isn’t reserved for the “super-spiritual” or the ordained clergy. Every believer is called to be a witness, ready to lead others to Christ.
The Fire Still Falls – The Fire House of Prayer lived up to its name. When God’s people gather in unity, expectation, and hunger for His presence, He meets them there. The fire of revival is not a relic of past generations, it burns brightly today.
A Call to Prayer
While we celebrate this glorious beginning, we recognize that salvation is both an event and a journey. Zipporah has crossed from death to life, from darkness to light, from the kingdom of this world into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. But now begins the beautiful process of discipleship, growth, and being established in the faith.
This is where we, the body of Christ, have a crucial role to play.
We’re calling on every believer who reads this to stand with Zipporah in prayer. Let us intercede for her that:
- She would be firmly rooted and grounded in the love of Christ.
- The seeds planted in her heart would fall on good soil and produce a hundredfold harvest.
- She would find a spiritual family to walk with her.
- The enemy would have no opportunity to snatch away the Word sown in her heart.
- She would grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The fire ignited in her heart on October 8th would burn brighter with each passing day.
The early days of faith are precious and vulnerable. Just as a newborn needs protection, nourishment, and care, so does a new believer. Let’s cover Zipporah with our prayers, that she would not just survive but thrive in her new life in Christ.
The Ripple Effect.
Zipporah’s testimony will not end with her. One soul saved becomes a testimony that encourages others. One life transformed becomes a light in a dark world. One person set free becomes an agent of freedom for others still in bondage.
Who knows what God has planned for Zipporah? Perhaps she’ll lead her family to Christ. Maybe she’ll become a powerful voice for the Kingdom in her workplace or community. She might be the answered prayer of a praying mother or grandmother who has been interceding for years. Only eternity will reveal the full impact of what happened on October 8th, 2025.
Keep the Fire Burning.
The same fire that fell at the Fire House of Prayer is available wherever God’s people gather in His name. The same Jesus who saved Zipporah is ready to save anyone who calls upon His name. The same power that was evident that night is available today, tomorrow, and until He returns.
Let’s not allow the fire to diminish. Let’s continue to:
- Pray with fervency – Passionate prayer invites God’s presence
- Worship with abandon – True worship creates an atmosphere for breakthrough
- Share with boldness – Every believer has a story and a Savior worth sharing
- Believe for more – If God did it once, He’ll do it again
Welcome Home, Zipporah
To Zipporah, if you’re reading this: Welcome to the family of God! You have been adopted into the greatest family in the universe. You are loved, valued, and precious to the Father. The same Jesus who saved you will keep you. The journey ahead is glorious, and you don’t walk it alone.
To everyone else: Let this testimony stir fresh faith in your heart. God is still in the business of saving souls, healing bodies, delivering captives, and setting people free. The fire still falls. The Gospel still works. Jesus still saves.
Glory to Jesus! All honor, praise, and worship belong to Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the Lover of our souls, the One who was, and is, and is to come.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” – Luke 19:10
Prayer
Father, we thank You for Zipporah’s salvation. We thank You for the fire that fell at the Fire House of Prayer. We thank You for Evangelist Steve’s obedience. Now, Lord, we ask that You would establish Zipporah in her faith. Let her roots grow deep into Your love. Protect her from every attack of the enemy. Surround her with mature believers who will disciple and encourage her. Let the fire that was kindled in her heart burn brighter every day. Use her testimony to draw others to You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep sharing. The harvest is plentiful, and the fire is still falling.
